No Change, No Opposition
There is total freedom now. This is it, without changing a thing.
But your mind goes to, “I want to know that, I want to know what that feels like, I want to have more than just an occasional glimpse, I want total freedom all the time.”
So what you want is to change things.
But there is total freedom now, without changing a thing. This is it.
Those thoughts going around in your head, applying to some entity that thinks it has self-interest, are this freedom too. Nothing needs to change.
But you say, “It feels like, me, though. I can’t just see it as thoughts that don’t relate to me. I take it so personally. I can’t help it.”
You’re just being oppositional. You’re so used to opposing everything that it is habit to oppose this. What if you just try not opposing for a while? What can it hurt to try?
Just agree, instead of oppose: There is total freedom now, without changing a thing.
Then you say, “But opposing is how we find out the truth; otherwise we are just taking something on faith. We have to be oppositional to find what’s true.”
I’m not asking you to take anything on faith. Look right now and see what opposition is made of. Is it really truth-seeking? Or is it habitual mind-noise, amounting to nothing? What can opposition ever teach you? If you find something true, won’t you just oppose that, too? Just agree, for a change. See what happens. I’m not saying, Have faith – I’m saying, Quit fighting.

There is total freedom now. This is it, without changing a thing.
There is total freedom, but no change. Nothing changes. Everything is totally free, all the time. Anything that appears different has not changed; it is still freedom.
There is total freedom, but no opposition. No opposite of freedom exists. No opposite within freedom exists. There are no two things to oppose each other.
No change, no opposition. Just this.
This is total freedom. This. |
