Continuing with "No Questions Exist"

Q: I can see that what feels like a person and the involvement in that person's story can't be controlled.  And it's obvious that the awareness of that can't be known by the person, since the person isn't the knowing.

A: Yes, you are pointing out that there is no person to be getting or not getting, or choosing, or letting go. There is no person, no control, no belief. You seem to be quite clear on that.

The awareness that can’t be known by the person is still known, though, isn’t it? So by whom is it known? It is known by itself – YOU. Awareness knows itself, and it is aware right here! That is all there is.

Q: But this all seems to get tied up in knots and the thoughts become more tangled and complicated and pointless.  And there's no control over THAT.  But it is known that there are tangled knots and it's pointless and that it's not controlled.  And of course the knowing can't be known and if there's identification as what seems to be this person.... then there is.

A: Blah blah blah. Don’t listen to the mind’s garbage. It’s just dream-talk. Doesn’t affect anything. You are the awareness, aware that it is aware. The rest is a dream.

Q: I can't deny this ordinary awareness, because even if I did, I'd have to recognize that I couldn't deny it without it being! It's a double-bind.  But then in backing up another step, there is just frustration, because it can't be done! I can't back up.

A: Well, what did I say? I said, if you find stuff, back up another step and notice what is noticing the stuff. “Frustration” is just stuff. What is noticing the frustration? Is “that which notices” frustrated? No.

What is noticing that you can’t back up? Is “that which notices” that “I can’t back up” present? Is “that which notices” always present? Does it have a point of view?

That which notices is always present, is it not? This is who you are.
