Eternity

Quit trying to plan for a better future. You can’t plan, anyway. Give up the idea that there is “enlightenment,” or “when I finally get this,” in the future for you. There is no better moment in the future. This is the only moment you’ve got. So right now, if you are planning a future where you are “done,” that is what your entire universe is made up of: planning. Not enjoying what is here already in this perfect moment, but making mental plans in an imaginary future that will never come. That’s what your world is. Your world is your moment, always.

You’ve got the perfect moment right now, but you want to press it and mold it into your own better version. No moment is better than this one. Could you just leave it alone?

Your world is not spread out over time. Your world is your moment. There is no compilation of moments which, strung together, make up your world. Your moment is always your world. This moment is eternity. So if you are spending this moment planning, that’s your entire world. Eternally.
