Be a Humble Witness

Your experience of life does not include a self-center – an “I.” You might want to argue with me about that, but if you stop and look for yourself, you will see immediately that thoughts, feelings, and sensations are happening. Where do you infer an “I” from that?

All of life is happening, and it’s a mystery and a miracle that any of it is at all. What is this? Why? Who knows? It doesn’t matter. What you know is that you are here to witness it, and beyond that, you don’t know anything. You are the witness of the eternal mystery of existence. In the face of that, be humble.

So how can you get hung up on any little problems you seem to have? You have no problems. There are no problems. There is no lack, no shortage, no need. Whether it be in your financial situation, your love life, your health, or your desire for liberation, there is simply nothing wrong. Wrong only exists to the thought we call “I.”

Find that tiny thought. See how miniscule and powerless it is. “I” does not exist, except right now inside one of your fleeting thoughts. Here it is, there it went. Now it is no more, waiting for you to invent it again. Until you invent it again, your life is one of perfect peace, perfect love, and perfect divine radiance, all the time.

"I expand and live in the warm day like corn and melons." – Ralph Waldo Emerson
