If it’s remembered, it’s useless. Let go of everything you've ever learned, everthing anyone has told you. Memory is not needed right now, to just be. Just now, with no memory, no experience or preconception from before, this is what you are, and this is what you thought you needed to seek. Right here, as your normal everyday sense of aliveness, ever fresh, newly created in every moment. Awareness, not of objects that exist, but of existence itself.
Just awareness that you exist. Just this.
Ordinary, requiring no memory, no mantra to recite, no practice to do. Nothing to keep in mind, not a thing to remember. Don't remember anything right now. Let the memory relax. Give it a rest. Just this, just now. Ordinary. This is who you are.

There is no person splintered off and having its own separate reality – there is only the one reality, the wholeness. How do you know? Not with the mind, as the mind only appears on it. You know because it is what pops into the foreground when the mind is still or preoccupied. You actually know it more as your “self” than you do the thoughts or the body, which change form constantly. It is the only constant you have ever known, and it’s been the same exact thing you’ve known since you were a kid. You know it as the constantly present and ordinary clear knowing space within which everything mutable appears. You cannot get away from it. It never changes and never dies, and you appear on it. You are not and never have been a separate, autonomous entity living a separate, splintered-off, existence from it. As that, nothing can ever go wrong.
Do you see that everything is resolved within this knowing? Do you see how the truth of who you are resolves all your questions? All questions go away within the knowing that you are simply this eternal reality unfolding. Right now, does a question need to be answered? Is there anyone it would apply to? Or is there just this immutable love, this peace – appearing as all things – now, already whole?

What do all human beings long for? We all long for exactly the same thing – to not feel cut off from ourselves, from others, from nature, from life. Because we feel splintered off, there is a deep hunger for wholeness. And so it begins.
Every sage, every great book, every prophet says the same thing: You are already whole. You have never left wholeness, you have never left the source that created you, you have never been anything other than life itself, source itself. But thought, being what it is, cannot grasp this truth of who you are. And so, all thoughts are false. Don’t look to them to find your true nature. Abandon the attempt to find anything helpful in the mind.
Find what you are looking for outside the mind. This is “being-awareness-bliss,” it is the one principle, it is present and obvious at all times, and it is who you are. It’s all there is. There is no second thing.

Even while the mind is going in circles, with its worry, its planning, its attempts to make things better, its need to understand, its desire to stop going in circles – is there anything needed in this moment? Does the mind need to stop now? Why? Would that make this present moment of pure, raw reality more whole, or more complete?

This raw reality, or intelligence/awareness/wholeness, has no problem with anything appearing within it right now. No problem. There is nothing wrong. Anything and everything is free to appear.
The sense of this being who you are is available to you right now: The peacefulness within which all the anxieties appear is always present and obvious; the
acceptance within which all the questioning happens is always present and obvious; the love within which all the antagonism, intolerance, and self-criticism arise is always present and obvious. Those things – the love, the acceptance, the peacefulness – they never waver, never disappear, never vary, and are never obscured. You can sense this – it’s your ordinary awareness. Not your personal consciousness of sensing, thinking, or feeling, but the awareness of the impersonal space within which all the sensing, thinking, and feeling happens.
This aware space is not affected at all by the passing thoughts that arise in the mind of an object (person) appearing within it. The objects, and the thoughts arising within the minds of objects, just pass by, as do all objects and appearances. They all momentarily flash across the screen that perfectly reflects reality, and then are gone.

You are only this perfect reflecting. You are only this love. You are not – cannot possibly be! – an object appearing within this love, because all these appearances are merely momentary blips on the screen of reality, flashing energy creating images on the screen, like a movie, and then gone. The person you believe yourself to be is merely a momentary appearance on the reflecting screen of reality. But this person/object has taken on a sense of its own reality, and it has spent many years building this story, and adding onto it, layer after layer. This person/object has invented a story that it is separate from this reality within which it appears!

Don't even remember these words. Don’t try to find some quick phrase in your brain that will help you out of your current state of fear or confusion. Don’t scour your mind in a panic to find the one perfect sentence that will settle you down, and bring you to the place of comfort you want. The mind can’t do that. It can’t come up with one of those phrases. It can only further disturb you.
Don’t look in appearance, even for the answer of “Why shouldn’t I look in appearance?”. Just turn your back on appearance, and you’ll find out why. Look at everything as if in a mirror, and see how the mirror itself is not affected. The mirror only reflects; it never thinks. You are the mirror.
This is all or nothing. This is totality. Aren’t you tired of every single word? All of appearance, all of the words feel so heavy. There is always something you have to do; you’re tired of there being something to do.
You don’t have to believe a word of it. You don't need it.
Every thought is experienced as imperfection. Any thinking feels like something is wrong. Thinking always obscures; it never heals.

Uncaused joy is your natural state. “Happy for no reason” is your natural state. If you are not experiencing “happy for no reason,” then there’s a story playing in your head.
Go after that story. Look at it. Take it apart. What is it? Is it real? What does it refer to?
Eventually all story will be revealed for what it is: mental activity – neural firings in your brain – referring to a self-center that does not exist. And it takes your attention away from the ever-present happiness that is yours for the asking.
Without the story, happiness is. And happiness is who you are, at all times.

So this is what we see when we turn and look to where the 'I' is pointing. We stop looking at objects and finally look to see the bright, aware space within which the objects appear. And then it is known that this is who we really are. This space – not the objects, nor the noticer of the objects, nor even the noticer of the bright spaciousness. We aren’t the noticer of anything.
We are THAT.
